About Akhun Taekwon-Do Club


The club is located at 9a Jalan Simpang Lima, Parit Sulong 83500 Batu Pahat Johor started operations in early May 2023 and being led by Mr. Muhammad Aidil Bin Bahrin, as Secretary and Chief Coach, Mr. Mohd Norisyam bin Ishak as Club President, until now. Akhun Taekwon-Do Club has 8 training centers around Batu Pahat. An estimated 200 students consisting of pre-school, primary and secondary school students as well as adults.

Akhun Taekwon-Do Club (ATC) is officially established and registered under the Sports Commissioner of Malaysia with registration number C-JHR-14066 effective 8 MAY 2023. Headquartered in Parit Sulong, Batu Pahat, ATC was established in accordance with the existing provisions under the Sports Development Act 1997. ATC is currently a member of the Johor Taekwon-Do Association (ITF-MTF) which is also under the Malaysian Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF).


Our Philosophy


The philosophy of Taekwon-Do is based on customs, decency and universal morality that can form the pure values​ and authority of a trainee. Among the characteristics emphasized to the trainees are the following:

  • Determination and perseverance in carrying out challenges in order to achieve a good goal.
  • Being polite and behaving well towards the weak and less able.
  • Not giving in but firmly defending oneself from elements of oppression and tyranny.
  • Completing something that has been started, whether small or large.
  • Committed to being a teacher and educator to anyone without choosing religion, race and understanding.
  • Displaying a high attitude of humility in addition to setting a good example.
  • Not being arrogant or conceited about one's success or position.

Our Target

  • Trainees at various school age levels will follow training modules or syllabus recognized by the national governing body (MTF) and the National Sports Council (MSN).
  • Trainees will be given exposure to participating in sports activities and programs related to Taekwon-Do at the district, state and national levels.
  • Trainees will reach the highest level in Taekwon-Do before the end of the school period and have the opportunity to continue training in Taekwon-Do at the post-school level or become assistant coaches.
  • Trainees have the opportunity to continue their studies at a higher level by being eligible to follow the Coaching and Sports Science Certification program organized by MTF, MSN and any sports agency/IPTA involved.
  • Apart from sports exposure, students will be exposed to basic self-defense knowledge appropriate to their physical abilities and age levels to increase their ability to defend themselves from threats.

  • Train ATC members who are also coaches to be informants on sports issues to athletes. Coaches are responsible for guiding athletes and helping to solve their problems.
  • Help shape members and coaches to be curious, creative, and open-minded, able to assess sports situations quickly and accurately.
  • Experienced coaches use their backgrounds as learning opportunities to better understand athletes and sports.
  • Prepare members for long-term human resource development to achieve organizational goals, including planning and delivering effective training programs.
  • Provide athletes with emotional support and build strong coach-athlete relationships, with coaches serving as sources of inspiration.
  • The ATC training center allows members and coaches to learn, share experiences, and reflect on wins, losses, and progress.
  • Offer leadership opportunities that help members mature within a disciplined and mentally/physically demanding sports environment.
  • Promote self-discipline, mastery of game rules, safety protocols, techniques, and sports knowledge to elevate athlete performance.
